The Oxford ProResp partnership is a joint venture between Woodstock Hospital and ProResp, Ontario’s largest community respiratory therapy provider.

This partnership ensures that before you leave the hospital your home care respiratory therapists are working in collaboration with your hospital’s team to get you home and help keep you there.

  • “I am very limited in what I can do,” Teresa told us, “but the team at ProResp has helped make it so that I can continue to live independently at home, where I want to be.”

    Teresa has COPD and a few other problems that make her breathing very difficult. Anything physical wears her out. She has been with ProResp for about five years.

    Thanks to a joint venture between ProResp and Woodstock Hospital, Teresa was introduced to ProResp when she was in the hospital, providing for a seamless and worry-free transition from hospital to home.

    “You get to know the people at ProResp and it starts to feel like they are family. They always go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Whenever I have a problem with my main oxygen machine, they are here in about fifteen minutes. When I had nosebleeds, they showed up right away with a mask so that I could continue to get my oxygen. The other day, I hadn’t used my nebulizer in a while, so I wanted a little refresher. Colin was here within the hour to take me through it again. But that was nothing extraordinary—ProResp’s service has always been exceptional,” said Teresa.

This integrated care model allows Woodstock Hospital’s frontline caregivers and management to work directly with ProResp’s frontline caregivers and management to ensure you get the best care possible.

Our teams regularly measure patient satisfaction and performance and report this information back to senior management of the hospital and ProResp.
